Travis Louie is an incredible artist who's style is right up my ally. A little new, a little old, and a whole lot of fun, his shtick is that he paints photo-realistic monsters as though they are posing for vintage Victorian/Edwardian era portraits. He even includes little biographies of the subject with each monster portrait that he does.
Fun fact: he was born in Queens, New York, and is inspired by German expressionism and film noir.

These are incredibly creepy, yet I absolutely adore them all. The second is my favorite.
These look eerily similar to those illustrations found within the Scary Stories to Tell in the Dark books - those petrified me as a child! :)
that's a very interesting concept...very unique!
The second one is my favorite too :), although the third is a close runner up.
Aaaaaamazing.
