What's In is Out

Thought this was a fascinating article. Apparently, the idea of what's in is finally on it's way out.
I'm not sure if this is completely accurate, since everyone can see that there is a certainly a look that is considered "in" every season.
But I do think that the idea of in style has relaxed.
I'm kind of ambivalent about this one, since while I do like observing trends I tend not to participate.
But what do you think? Has the idea of trends officially died? Are you sad to see it go?
